Device overview
The GoodWe GMK330 is a three-phase residential smart meter used with compatible GoodWe PV and hybrid inverter systems. It is built to measure local electricity consumption and demand, then feed that data into GoodWe system control features such as export power limiting, load monitoring, hybrid-inverter charge control, and zero-feed operation.
This is an energy-meter record, not a solar inverter, battery, EV charger, or standalone gateway. Its value comes from giving the GoodWe inverter system a clearer view of grid import, household load, and PV self-consumption behavior.
Core specifications
GoodWe's current GMK330 datasheet lists support for 1P2W, 3P3W, and 3P4W grid types. The meter uses three current transformers and communicates over RS485. The current GMK330 source lane states that 120 A CTs are included and that the integrated meter CT has been unified to a 120 A:40 mA ratio, while the previous 200 A:50 mA CT lane will be phased out after June 2026.
For comparison use, the key structured fields are the 120 A max-current context, Class 0.5 voltage/current and active-energy accuracy, Class 1 reactive-energy accuracy, DIN-rail IP20 installation, and RS485 local meter communication path.
Installation and compatibility
GMK330 is an installer-led DIN-rail meter for electrical cabinets or switchboards. It should be matched to the relevant GoodWe inverter family, regional compatibility list, and site wiring layout before purchase. The meter itself is not an app-first clamp monitor; it is designed to work as part of the GoodWe solar and storage ecosystem.
Data access and cloud boundary
The meter-to-system link is local RS485. GoodWe cloud or SEMS monitoring can still be part of the wider inverter system, but the meter's core role is local measurement and control data for the compatible GoodWe setup. Home Assistant support should be understood through GoodWe inverter integration exposing meter-derived sensors, not as a standalone GMK330-native Home Assistant integration.
Buyer notes
Choose GMK330 when a GoodWe residential PV or hybrid inverter installation needs three-phase consumption visibility, export limiting, or zero-feed control and the 120 A CT range fits the site. For higher-current or more flexible CT-ratio applications, compare against GoodWe's GM330 family or a different meter specified by the installer.
