Acrel ADL400 is a three-phase DIN-rail energy meter aimed at power systems, industrial and mining enterprises, public facilities, EV charging piles, and centralized building or factory metering. It is an energy-meter record only: it is not a solar inverter, battery-storage system, EV charger, or standalone gateway.

ADL400 is a DIN-rail mounted three-phase meter. Acrel documents both three-phase three-wire and three-phase four-wire specifications, with reference-voltage variants including 3 x 100 V, 3 x 380 V, 3 x 57.7/100 V, and 3 x 220/380 V. The reviewed sources list input-current variants of 3 x 1(6) A and 3 x 10(80) A, with wiring examples for direct connection and CT connection.
Communication And Integration
The meter includes RS485 communication and Modbus RTU support. That makes it suitable for local SCADA, energy-management systems, gateways, and Home Assistant installations through a compatible RS485/Modbus path. There is no evidence that ADL400 requires an Acrel cloud service for core metering.
Selection Notes
ADL400 is most relevant when the buyer needs a compact three-phase DIN-rail meter with local Modbus data, Class 0.5 active-energy accuracy, reverse-energy readings, and EV-charging or building-metering fit. The exact direct-versus-CT configuration should be confirmed before purchase because Acrel documentation includes both 3 x 10(80) A direct-current context and CT-wiring examples.
